成牙骨质细胞瘤导致的牙根吸收：病理切片染色

成牙骨质细胞瘤(Cementoblastoma)的影像学表现往往是一团高密度影像“包绕”牙根。成牙骨质细胞瘤以前往往被叫做牙骨质瘤，常常会被理解为牙骨质的“异常”增生，所以认为牙根可能是完整的，实际上牙根往往是吸收的。

另外就是牙骨瘤(Cementomas)的名称，是历史遗留下来的称呼，目前已不再使用¹。既往被称作牙骨质瘤的疾病可能包括：

• Cementoblastoma
• Osseous dysplasia
  • Periapical form
  • Focal form
  • Florid form
• Cemento-ossifying fibroma
• Hypercementosis
  • Paget’s disease
  • Inflammatory hypercementosis
